Fort Wadsworth
Fort Wadsworth is one of the oldest military sites in the US. It's a prominent location on the tip of Staten Island in New York. It's currently a historic site/park with some areas open for limited tours.
After the tours, I did some exploring and found some stuff as seen in the video.

! ! ! I've got tons more posts all queued up and scheduled for delivery every two weeks. Multiple 'bucket list' locations included in my recent solo-rampage across the Northeast United States. STAY TUNED ! ! !

Fort Delaware
This was not an explore but a tour of a cool, old, formerly abandoned, Civil War era fortification on an island in the Delaware River which I got to see on my recent solo rampage across the east coast. Moat and cannons and shit = badass.

ALSO
The blog posts are going to be getting significantly juicier from this point on, starting with the next post coming this Sunday and as time goes on through the end of the year (and beyond). I still have so much good stuff coming up that it's kinda crazy.
The upcoming post is 'Part One' of a THREE-PART trip report which is, arguably, the centerpiece of my solo rampage on the east coast. It was fucking awesome and I only learned about it at the last minute before my trip. It seems to not be very well known, at least to people not from the area, but I would say it's one of the best locations in the entire New York/Jersey area. Technically, you're allowed to be there and look at stuff from a distance... but that's boring.
It is also among the most historically significant and thus heavily researched of my recent posts which is notable considering the work I've already put into the blog this year so far.

Fort Hancock
This was a large military base on the coast of New Jersey which guarded New York harbor for about 200 years.

More online investigation than onsite exploration these days.

Nike Missile Base video
This is a brief video from the Nike missile base. Ran out of time in the day to get a longer video.
Tons more stuff on the way

TECHNICAL ISSUES
No idea WTF is going on but all image links on the blog are broken as of this morning. If you click on them, the image loads, but the links themselves are all dead across the board, both on the blog and any external sources like UO.
No reason for this that I can see anywhere. I've checked everything and see nothing wrong.
Have a lot of other stuff going on right now so I can't devote a ton of time to troubleshoot at the moment but will dig into it as soon as possible.
SO FUN!
