I have often wondered if this isn't referencing the 'old' square, rather than the new square (pre civil war, when the original court house was burned)
I live about half a mile from morrow mill, but I haven't walked in that area in years, I should do that this weekend.

After looking a on Google Maps. The property clearly specifies it is PRIVATE PROPERTY. There are at least 30 posted signs all over ever wooden post. I would really like to visit this place, maybe with permission I could.
