They do demonstrate how much things have improved. Some photos and film from the accident have clear white dots from the radiation. These have none large enough to notice. The radiation has to be significantly less now. It does give you some hope in the possibility of man surviving some nuclear war. People are living there again, animals and plants are living there. Some people with lethal doses even made it decades after the incident including the original Soviet filmer that flew right over the reactor.
