Highway 412 Entity
When you are driving down Hiway 412 between Siloam Springs and Springdale, AR, there is what appears to be an old dilapidated amusement park on the North side of the Highway about half way between these two towns. There are old buildings which look like what appears to be a castle and some netting which makes me think that at one time they had animals there possibly. Does anyone know what this was? I'd love to hear from someone. I've noticed this for many years now and it is driving me crazy wondering what it is.
Re: Highway 412 Entity
I've been out that way ALOT, and never once noticed this (probably b/c I was usualy going that way for work). We should go check it out sometime, and at least try to get some pics from the outside.

It's an old paintball field. They played a version of paintball called "Speedball" (apparantly the game moved very fast). The netting was required to prevent the accidental shooting of passing vehicals.

Yeah, I was hoping for more also. It looks rather old though. I figured that it outdated the paintball craze. I have seen it for the last 15 years at least.

I can't remember the name of this place. It was actually owned by a couple of college students that loved to play. There was a story on the local news about them. Back in the 90's, there were several sites like this. I played at a one south of West Fork on Hwy 71. It's now a mobile home junkyard.

Well, when you said entity I was expecting a ghost or an alien or something. Color me disappointed.

Ditto. I watched an awful 70s movie the other morning at 3 a.m. "The Entity." Based on true fact!

Perhaps they were refering to definition #1...

It was, as you said, basically an awful 70's movie. But I will admit the scenes where you could see certain areas of her body being touched, but couldn't see anyone touching her were a little freaky.BROUSER wrote:Ditto.
