Had my eye on this for awhile. Found a way in on a previous visit and decided it was time to get in there. I have some great shots from the roof and of the outside of the hotel itself, but they would give the location away too easily and there are things in here that could be looted. Strangely enough, the power was on in a good portion of the hotel, not everywhere, but a lot. Made me a little apprehensive a first, but I got over it quickly.
I know where this location is. It honestly didn't close down too long ago. It hasn't been a Holiday Inn for awhile, it was under another name before it closed it's doors....man that place looks ruff considering it closed about 4 months ago.
Yeah I know where this is too! I've been wondering about it. The last time I checked on it a few months ago this was operational, though very run down. I figured it would be closing soon but I didnt know it already happened. Thanks for the pics!!!
Wow thanks for the pictures, lots of good times there, live music and no one knew if you took a quick swim, there was a portal where you could swim outside to the outside pool. Remember Alias Billy.
awesome pictures!! My mom used to work here when i was in middle school. I also had a birthday party here at some point.
As gross as it looks now does not surprise me, whenever my mom worked there 10+ years ago, she said it was filthy. Super cool to see pictures of a place that i've been inside when it was still operating though!
promote what you love instead of bashing what you hate.
I noticed yesterday that they were tearing down another smaller hotel up the street from here. I didn't even know that was abandoned either! It's like I turned 30 and immediately lost my UE spotting skills.
There's also a Ramada in Hazelwood that got hit by a tornado and is going to be torn down. Police use it for training right now though. Don't know where it is exactly but I need to find it! I imagine it's off Lindbergh.
Oh, and there's a Motel 6 on South Lindbergh past 44. It kind of sucks though because all the rooms are outdoor entrances and most of them are pretty much inaccessible unless you break something. Or at least they were a year ago when I checked it out. We were able to shimmy through a few holes where ACs used to be but that was about it.
