New guy in town!
New guy in town!
Hey I just moved into Springfield for college and found out about this great site. Came from KC which had some good exploring, but from the amount of posts it seems like theres alot more here. The friends that I explored with stayed in kc. Anyone here looking for another guy to explore with?

I agree... one reason I didn't support the name change was because "MSU" wasn't as aurally pleasing as "SMS."
I also didn't feel like SMS had actually done anything worthy of an upgrade. I mean, they erected a hideous transvestite statue in front of Strong Hall... so what?

I don't know why everyone insists on using the initials. There are way too many "MSU"-s out there. How much harder is it to say "Missouri State"? It may be a little harder to say initially, but will save the follow-up explanation of which MSU.

I almost went to MSU, but at the time the only thing that meant to me was "Michigan State University" I'm going to be way confused now when someone says MSU
RE: New guy in town!
I also go to SMSU/SMS/MSU/Missouri State/place that sucks up all my money.

Yeah MSU people.

I dispise Ass 'N' Ass! This community worships the ground they sit on and they turn around and tell us to bend over and take it up the ass till we bleed.
When noone wanted them to tear down the Colonial Hotel they did it anyway, when noone wanted them to take over that neighborhood between Kings and Holland and tear it down, they did it anyway. When noone wanted them to take over the neighborhoods north of Madison and tear those houses down... again, they did it anyway. Oh yeah... lets not forget the entire block of historic houses that used to sit where Hammonds Hall and the Parking garage next to it are. There were at least 5 of 6 houses in that area that were torn down as well.
The fuckers are intent on demolishing the oldest parts of Springfield and they could give a shit less. Personally I'd take over the university and run it into the ground so there isn't one left...
Stupid mother fuckers...
