Wow. Can't wait to hear where you went / what you did and get a chance to see some pics. Until then, sleep well.SubLunar wrote:splored the fuck outta some fuck.
I'm sore, beat up, scratched up and my memory cards are filled up. Over 1,000 miles, met lots of awesome people. What a crazy weekend. Now I need a nap. Can't share all the pics, but the ones I do share will be coming soon.

Got a package today, this was inside.
Because we've all been in the situation where you're in a cramped area and can't get everything you want in the shot

Nice. That's curved right? So no UV/etc filters?

Nope, unless you want to hold it in front of the lens.
The front element is so big I'm just afraid of scratching it

A fisheye lens, right? Looks pretty cool, can't wait to see the pictures you get with it.

Yeah i've always wondered that about those lenses. That's scary having it exposed like that with no protection.. but the wide angle shots should be killer.

a lens hood like in the picture will help, be sure to leave it on.

Re: what made you happy today?
Yeah the lens hood works pretty well since my 70d has a crop sensor and it doesn't get in the shot. If it was on a full frame camera you'd see vignetting or it might just be a circle, I'm not sure. Even though it's a fully manual lens it works surprisingly well on full auto mode in video. I just turn it wide open and set the focus at infinity, and everything turns out pretty sharp. Doesn't work so well when taking stills because it over exposes everything. Kinda have to shoot fully manual there.

went on a float trip, splored the shit outta some shit (which I wasn't sure I'd be able to fit in this weekend), then went swimming at the pool with the family.

Made it into Armour without being seen.

Did a lot of swimming with family this weekend and managed a brief recon trip of a location along the way.

went on my first official week long vacation as an adult to the ocean with fams. Then came home and managed to squeeze in a recon turned exploration.
