RE: Is it somehow possible that you cavers might help?
I was just reading this thread and would like to ask those who know about these things whether or not ALL the caves up near the Current River have been explored for the remains of the women. As to the parking lot controversey, I am agnostic. I would do it so we aren't arguing over it any longer. The cost of doing so has already be guaranteed by another so there is no financial reason not to do it and remove it from consideration.
Just for the record I do believe there is a certain location up near the Current River that ought to be examined. So far as I know it has not and there are good reasons for saying what I am saying.

I don't know that they've all been explored for the remains of the women, but I'm pretty sure they've all been explored at one time or another since their disappearance. It's hard to find a cave in this state that isn't frequented by cavers, with the exception of those on private land. A cave just isn't the best place to hide a body, as most of the accessible ones tend to be relatively high-traffic areas. If they're in a cave, changes are they would've been found already.Richard in Texas wrote:I was just reading this thread and would like to ask those who know about these things whether or not ALL the caves up near the Current River have been explored for the remains of the women. Re: RE: Is it somehow possible that you cavers might help?
I'm not a caver, nor in a position to do anything if I were, but it is my understanding that there is some private land up there that may have unexplored caves that could conceal the bodies. I take it then that not all that area as been examined. It is theoretically possible is what I gather. I have a specific place in mind and a reason for saying this.Sertile wrote:I don't know that they've all been explored for the remains of the women, but I'm pretty sure they've all been explored at one time or another since their disappearance. Just for the record I didn't even know this place existed. It happened to turn up during my daily Google Sweep and I thought I would put in my $0.02. I'm not and have never been a big parking lot advocate.Kit wrote:its kind of fun to see all the people that show up just because of certain threads.. We have three newbies here. Re: RE: Is it somehow possible that you cavers might help?
It IS possible that there are unexplored caves on private land, which are only known to the owners. This is especially true in places like Arkansas, where "new" caves are often kept from grottoes and the public by suspicious landowners. My point was just that caves in general aren't the best place to hide a trio of bodies.Richard in Texas wrote:I'm not a caver, nor in a position to do anything if I were, but it is my understanding that there is some private land up there that may have unexplored caves that could conceal the bodies. Re: Is it somehow possible that you cavers might help?
Then I would suggest that all possible sites be checked up near Akers, Missouri. If one will do a mapquest and then a satellite imaging they will see a large cleared triangular area that should be the focus of attention. It is entirely possible that the site in question is in fact on private land. I don't know if one could get to it from outside the property boundaries but it might be worth checking out. And again I have my reasons for making this statement.Kit wrote:private property doesnt stop all cavers
