Dinosaur World, AR
Re: Dinosaur World, AR
You don't get off so easy! What are the weird fake looking floral arrangements off to the left? A tribute to weird uncle Ed? A paranormal manifestation?

yeah I'm not sure why those were there. It was a fake flower arrangement like on you would put at a gravesite.

Recently ran across an old film from 1969 called "It's Alive" that includes footage of both Dinosaur World and Onyx Cave. Starring Tommy Kirk (remember Old Yeller?), the story revolves around a farmer in the Ozarks who apparently owns Onyx Cave, and has discovered a prehistoric creature living in it (that looks like a really bad version of the creature from the Black Lagoon). He captures lost tourists and feeds them to the creature. Pretty bad flick, but fun to see the local landmarks in all of their 60s glory. Just make sure you watch the one from 1969 - there's about a half dozen horror flicks with the same name.
