Armour is coming down!
Re: Armour is coming down!
This makes me sad.
Totally knew it was gonna happen after they built the highway right next to it, but I'm still sad.

This fucking sucks. Really bad. Armour was the last MUST SEE location here IMO. There's some other good stuff here of course, but nothing as truly awesome. And although Armour is not always easy to access, it was low risk compared to some of the other best stuff. Losing Armour will be a major loss to STL adventurists.

Confirmed in person today. Grounds are being cleared, buildings are more sealed up now than ever, cold storage building is mostly collapsed now, interior demo is beginning. Hopefully the steam engine is going to be saved.

yeah. Nothing great, just wanted to visit one last time. Bulldozer type equipment out back and whatnot. No doubt it's coming down.

Much of the vegetation surrounding the property has been removed.
Preservation over plunder.

Course the question remains of what the "caretaker" is going to do after it's gone. Still hang out over there? Guard an empty field?
Also if anyone can get vid of them knocking down the smokestacks, that would be cool.

More online investigation than onsite exploration these days.

John is actually still on the stockyards payroll. If the stockyard no longer owns it, I assume he's out of a job. Maybe he has a pension..Nicotti wrote:Course the question remains of what the "caretaker" is going to do after it's gone. Still hang out over there? Guard an empty field?
