Hehe, I was grinning from ear to ear when I found this.
This is just off of Chestnut near Broadway, and is right across from a recycling center. Upon entering, it looks like yet another 4 - 4 1/2 ft crouching tunnel, but after going in a few feet, it's about 6 1/2 ft tall! It felt so good to find a non-crouching tunnel, heh. However, it gets even better. Both tunnels eventually lead to a big chamber, with branching tunnels! One set of tunnels eventually lead to an exit, though the water got a little deep (This was the only wet part; most of the tunnel was dry), so we didn't get out that way. The other set of tunnels are much smaller, but lead in a completely different direction. If I'm feeling up to it, I might just see where those small ones go...
Oh yeah, there's a lot of creepy graffiti in this thing, including stuff mentioning "A Gateway to Hell." (Hence the name, heh) I gotta get more pictures of that next time.

| Excellent work, ninja boy! Just when we think we've found all the big drains in Springfield, they fall in our lap.

You guys do realize this is old news, right? More than a year old, in fact. I'm just saying.
I've known how to get there for the longest time, but I've never actually been. If you can't find it, just look for the big yellow "NO TRESPASSING city ordinance" signs.

| I think the "chamber" is under the Public Works yard. One of those tunnels leads to the vault that houses the spring at Grant Breach Park. It's easy to see were most of the boxes go as they are the older kind in which top of the box is visable (looks like a sidewalk or driveway).

Yeah, the other night Anne, Sertile, Keetz, and I all went to visit the tunnel. It was quite fun and I enjoyed it. I liked the area where the three tunnels joined together. My feet got very wet and cold though.

...You took your shoes off, what do you expect? I think I stepped in the deepest part though, I got soaked up to my knees. Should have grabbed my skateboard to go through the crawling ones though...

Yeah, I thought if I took my shoes off then I could just dry my feet after I was through and then just put my nice dry shoes and socks back on. Yeah right.

Yeah, now that I think about it I'm pretty sure those crawly ones connect to that other tunnel opening I showed you guys somehow or another. They did seem to be pointing in that general direction.
Also,

Where was this?? I certainly didn't see anything like that in the area we were in.
