No, problem. It is quite the experience. It goes alot further over land than it does water.

I am sure that land floods.

We are planning on rappeling off the bridge

Damn, photo number 12 looks like there's a hole rusted through one of the girders. Though It might just be vines growing around it and the detail isn't good enough to tell.

I don't think it's a rust hole. I think it's just the gap where the two girders intersect. Check photo 5 and it looks like there's a pretty good gap at the intersection.Willard wrote:Damn, photo number 12 looks like there's a hole rusted through one of the girders. My wife grew up near this bridge. In fact the tracks on the Freeburg side, run right next to the farm her family owned then. Further up the tracks toward Freeburg, possibly a mile, is a train tunnel that runs under the town of Freeburg. It's pretty cool actually. You can read more about the tunnel here:

How am I just now seeing this? This is fantastic shit! Also, C-flights, I appreciate your thoroughness in coordinates. Lat/long AND utm? What a guy.
Let me know next time you want to rap that bridge. I got stuff and we can have 3 lines or maybe a rope swing or something.
