| Holy crap I've been gone for a while. Anyway would anyone be interested in visiting the ifc site? The launch site doesn't seem to promising. But according to Google Earth the ifc site looks promising. |

The launch site is a parking lot now and although not razed altogether, it's fenced off and padlocked. The Radar Target Acquisition site just down the road has been on my list for a while. But the last time I looked into it, seemed like that property was being used by an active business.
The most accessible one around here is north of Saint Louis. |

I don't blame you. Unfortunately the underground part is, in my opinion, the best part and I don't know of any underground portions that are accessible around here. The buildings themselves are actually pretty small and square. And they're not exciting, IMO, unless you remind yourself what they were there to do.
If you ever get the chance, SF-88L is the one to visit. |

| My car's got problems right now, so I won't be able to any time in the immediate future. But one of these days, for sure. |

I thought the underground portion of the Pacific site was still intact, if unavailable for access. Seems I recall it being used for storage.
Am I thinking of another, not-local, site? |

It used to be used for school bus parking.. don't know if that's still the case. |

| It could still be intact, I don't know. Pretty sure it's not accessible though. |

I would think it's still school bus parking because it's the school's property and the old launch buildings themselves are actually still being used by the school.
This thread has renewed my interest in going there to check it out, even though it's most likely completely inaccessible. |

Uh, you know you're right. The IFC doesn't look very active anymore, at least according to bing... Last time I checked there was a couple trucks parked in there.

You should go drive over there and see what the status of it is! Take pics and let us know what you see!
It is fenced off, though. So you might need to find a way around that.
It's a bit of a drive for me, for something that might not even pan out. And my car has issues right now..
Once I get my car fixed, this will be my next trip unless you beat me to it. |
