Yes we are, and yes I've been there, and yes it was destroyed a couple years ago.
Until recently, there was an old house in the middle of the parking lot that was only recently destroyed.

Re: Abandoned Slide
Yeah, I realized after I posted it where it was. I came upon it panning north from the south and the cliff there looked like a ditch in that view. But oh well, info is info.

Re: Abandoned Slide
First water park in Eureka.
Re: Abandoned Slide
They are building something there now, the stone retaining walls that surrounded the house are now all exposed.
I always wanted to saucer sled down Wet Willy's in the snow, but it was too overgrown.

Didn't WR do that? I thought I saw pics on here from that.
I could have sworn reading about a development going in there, but I can't find the article.
I did, however, find this interesting paper while looking.

Drive by it 2x a day, currently heavy equipment operating up there. Long gone, probably be more apartments if I had to guess. At least it's out of the flood plain.
Re: Abandoned Slide
I was wrong, they're just pulling rock from up there to use in the i44/141 project.
