Okay... Is there some reason you don't want me to stop over there Sub?

No, just figured it's a long drive for empty lots. I won't be going back there.

I've been trying to get all of my Pevely Farm pics and video off my old laptop but it isn't working. I can only use the laptop for 10 minutes at a time before I have to shut it off to prevent it from overheating. And every time I copy the files to an SD card, it only copies the audio... It plays the video on the old laptop but only the audio after I transfer it to my new computer

get an external sata or ide USB adapter (something like this), remove the hard drive from the old laptop, plug that into the new computer as an external drive and copy whatever you need over that way.

Well I was planning on hitting some places near Fenton and Weldon Springs also, kind of a west co day.

It's true. We were there today. The mansion, dairy, house that was by the dairy, and water tank house thing are all gone. They extended Stonewall Dr to Resorvoir Ct and are building a house on the clearing north of Resorvoir Ct. If you look on the map there is a long skinny building sw from where Stonewall hits Stewards Ln, that building is still there. It's part of Pevely and it's an old feeding barn, still has the pens outside. Also the building down the hill next to the railroad tracks in still there, but all the really cool stuff is gone.

Also a dude we saw there said it was demoed in Jan. 2014.

I found out why. They are all MPEG files and I have no programs on my computer to play MPEGs... So I'm going through the process of converting them to MP4s.

My laptop fixed itself too. I was attempting to upload a 1.39G MPEG to google drive and it got really hot and started making clunking noises. Then miraculously my cooling fan turned on. I thought the thing was about to explode

I'm glad I got that all sorted out

Is it a windows laptop? Why not download mpeg codecs for your current media players, rather than converting all the media?

I use VLC, it's free.

Because I'm dumb and because the MPEG files were huge.

That 1.39G MPEG was a single video clip shot in 480p...

My entire 20 minute video that I made ended up being just 998mb

Unlike Sub and his awesome work news, my job is getting folded into a different division of the company and I'll be unemployed in two months. At least they told me ahead of time so I can look for a new job rather than calling me on Saturday and telling me not to come in Monday, like they've done to people in the past.

Bummer. If you do computer work, I could give a good word for you to several recruiters. Good luck.
