I got on the roof of the Continental Life Building in STL, which was interesting. I got in through social engineering, made my way to the elevator and set it for the top floor. Luckily, the topmost suite was empty and the door was unlocked. So I went in and found that it had roof access on either side. I was caught by a janitor but I saw him coming so I made my way back inside and left the building, but not without taking the long way through the basement and back up through the active construction on the ground floor. The construction foreman busted me as well, but I just told him I took a wrong turn and walked the rest of the way through his floor to the front door. I've been back since then, but the top floor is now rented out. The door was unlocked and I walked in on some lady in her kitchen, so I left much more hastily than last time.

Also been on some active university roofs.

As far as random abandoned buildings, I couldn't even begin to recall. Usually, the roof is a requirement, so I'd have to list pretty much every exploration.

Damn, how'd I miss this thread for so long?? Buildering or otherwise surmounting rooftops has been a hobby of mine since highschool but once I got to college it blossomed into this beautiful thing my gf just doesn't understand.

Without too many details, I can say I've pinned in google earth every building in my current town I have summited and the number comes to around 41. Some were easy, some were hard, some were rappelled, some have been done repeatedly, others never again.
This number doesn't include conqusts in other cities since I'm nowhere else long enough to start keeping track.

My rules:
If there are several buildings linked by a common roof, it's 1 building.
Roof hatches are valid methods, as long as you get to a roof.
Small half story buildings and sheds don't count,
Tall silos and elevators count.

I have a game I call the 20 Building Challenge in which we have X amount of time (usually a couple hours) to summit 20 buildings. The number of buildings can be adjusted too. Makes for fun nights.

I can't say I've been a stack's bitch, but they are assholes. All they are are glorified phalluses with ladders going up the side.

The way to that roof is no longer a safe climb either.

Get to that indoor area connected to the roof door in Temple Hall, then I'll be impressed.

There seems to be a group of elevator connosieurs who make such videos as the video of the elevator at Temple and others. I like it. Doesn't interest me, but I like it.

I've been to just about every MSU building rooftop.
My grandfather has been the grounds keeper there for 20 years and I've done a little snooping since he's worked there.

I've also been to the top of the Heers, (and tagged it when I was in highschool) and most of the factories downtown.

Fun times.

Well, this was quite a few years ago, and I think it was covered up by other tags. So I'm not too worried about it.
People make mistakes and stupid choices.
I've changed my ways, I don't tag anymore.

I have been on top of every building at Evangel. The gym is the easiest - you just casually walk up the side, and it is the only one that can be easily gotten to without a key.

The chapel was the most challenging. There are actually two parts to it - inside the roof and on top of the roof. The access points for each are in completely different places, which is what made getting on top of it harder. I must have wandered around inside the roof for over an hour before I realized there was no way to get outside from there and went elsewhere to look.

The new buildings are not as interesting as many of the old barracks that are now gone forever. However, there are a few cool places to explore inside - such as the catwalks above the theater and the catwalks above the recital hall. The catwalks above the recital hall are VERY high up.

I have also been on top of Pythian Castle many, many times. It is easy enough to climb up from the outside, and I have also twice gotten onto the roof from the access door inside the castle. All of this was before the lady who currently owns the place owned it - except for the very last time, which was immediately after she bought it. I guess she was in an amicable mood that day when she was moving in, because she gave me free access to the place. Then she flipped shit when she found my friends and I on the roof. After that, she was never very nice to me or my friends again.

I'm sure there are other places I have been on top of as well, but at the moment I'm having a brain fart.
