looks like they built entrances and then filled in around them. see the doorways?

That absolutely makes sense. When I was looking at them they looked more like trash dumpsters or something of that sort that were just stuck in the entrances and then filled in with the rock inside and all around. Wasn't sure why. But the entrances make much more sense.

I too thought those were dumpters or trailers at the entrances. Upon closer inspection, I see the doors Sneaky pointed out, leading me to believe there is something they don't want us to see in there. Like the cliffs they shove everyone into in a doomsday scenario like in Deep Impact. That's most likely it. My intuition says so. My intuition isn't an asshole like the bum's above me.
