Camp Scott Pictures??

Post by betrumka »

I started the thread about Camp Scott some time ago. There were a couple of people who repsonded in that thread who said they had pictures of Camp Scott today and they were going to post them for us to see.

Well, obvioulsy that didnt happen. If you guys are still around, let us (me) know what happened.

If anyone is interested, the website I gave initially has been added to with some very interesting "developments" in this case. The man who runs this website may be the only person actively working on the case. Check it out!

Did this murder ever make it to Unsolved Mysteries or does everyone pretty much think it had been solved?

very interesting story. I would like to see pics as well. I wonder who the prisoner is that the 1993 letter is written to? What did it say...possible parole in 2006? Has all the makings of a good mystery, albeit a real one.

The case is technically still open but no one in Law Enforcement is looking for the killer any longer. They all believe they had the right man and he was simply found not guilty because of a good defense.

I have emailed the webmaster about the contents of the letter on his site and he will not reveal any details at this time. Yes, it does say that the person will be released in 2006. Maybe we will find out then...

Its good to know that he is working on it and maybe he will get somewhere with the case someday.

I have been amazed that there was never a movie or a Unsolved Mysteries type of expose about the murders. There was a documentary made about the murders but it was not widely seen. I believe it showed a few times on the Discovery Channel.

There is also only one book written about the murders that I know of. The case is largely forgotten.

I hope someone will respond about the pictures!!

I have the pics, I just don't have a scanner right now to load them on the site. I have one really bad one right now,,,but it doesn't do the place justice at all! And I can't figure out how to load that one on the site, so if anyone wants to help w/that,,,go right ahead! I might be going back up there within the next few weeks, so if anyone lives close we can maybe give ya a peek inside! [/img]

I'm not sure what I can do, unless you want to snail mail me the pictures (or copies of them) or something.

If you want to put that one picture you have in a post, though, you should be able to attach it as long as it's less than 100k. If it's bigger than that, use this:

http://undergroundozarks.com/resize/

And then save the resized picture to your hard drive, because it should be less than 100k.

CAMPSCOTT FREAK- will you take White Rabbit up on your offer-

Another suggestion I have is to take your pics to Wal Mart or Walgreens and let them scan your pics onto a CD and then you could email them to me as attachments and you could email them to White Rabbit (the webmaster here) and he could try to post them. That might be the easiest way. I think Wal Mart will scan pics onto a disc for $2.00. I could be a bit off on that but its not much at all.

If anyone is looking for a cheap copy of the book Someone Cry for the Children I see one on ebay for only $15. That is the cheapest I have ever seen it.
