some of you guys know that i work at a residence for people with developmental disabilities. about a month ago i took a nasty spill in the bathroom and busted my knee to all hell. well now i still have swelling and horrific bruising almost 5 weeks later >.< today i go see a orthopedic speicalist so i hope you guys wish me luck that i don't end up having surgery! <3 lets hope i get to explore some this season >.<

Good luck!! I've been avoiding knee surgery for 8 years now... Smashed my left knee in a car wreck and it's been giving me hell ever since.
I went in for an MRI and the specialist said that he couldn't see anything wrong with it so there was nothing he could do.
Nice of him to ignore the fact that I can't walk up stairs some days because it just gives out...

lol well thankfully i'm still ambulatory so no scooter needed (tho some off road scooting would be huge amounts of fun) i just hobble everywhere >.<

Update: my MRI results are in and i have a HUGE hematoma on my knee and a small area of cartilage damage >.< so it looks like i'm off my feet until the hematoma goes away. but i'm subborn! i'm going exploring weeks after next

Sounds painful! At least you know what is up with yours though. Mine's been giving me hell again recently but with a clear MRI last time around I dunno what the outcome will be when I finally get in to have it looked at again.
