Ramada in Camden
Well, while driving around Camden just checking it out and a few places of interest, I stumbled across this. I seen the old sign from the road and had to take a closer look. The building is for sale, but it looks like it had undergone some pretty serious damage. Definately looked like a place worth checking out.

That's weird. It doesn't look that old, either.

Nah, it isn't old at all. I did some research today and all of your online travel companies still have the property listed, but it's closed. It was complete with a private club, meeting room, excercise room, and a resteraunt called "The Boiling Pot". I called the name on the For Sale sign and talked to the lady and she informed me it burned about a year and a half ago and it's now privately owned. If you want to buy it, the lady I talked to is rather eager to sell it.

Terrible location though. Out in B.F.E. Camden Arkansas is a shytty lookin town at that. I dunno if it's directly related to the closing of the I.P. plant, or if it's just that old of a town, but the place could use a facelift.Willard wrote:oooohhhh coool then we could do something snazzy such as a UE night club!

Lockhead Martin is also real big in Camden. If I remember correctly, there is a heli-pad behind this hotel. I visited the club a couple of times. A few years ago, unsure of present time, but you could watch a Lear jet land and take off from the Camden Airport a few times a week.

I like it. It's begging to be explored. No way around the fence?

You caught the hint. If I were to go back and check it out, I'd even be so kind enough as to take some new ones to replace the ones I "rearranged". I took that pic as a pointer.dogpatchexpert wrote:
