For non SW-Missourians, the Spooklight is 100% real.

I don't believe in ghosts or the paranormal whatsoever, so I absolutely believe there's some kind of scientific explanation for it, but the Spooklight does exist. There's pictures, video, not to mention you can just drive down there and see it about every other night.

One of our members also runs this website and made a documentary about it:

There are dozens of locations around the world where "spooklight" phenomenon can be regularly observed. It has also been witnessed before and during earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.

I have been wanting to go for a long time now, so if there is a meet up I will be there. I am also interested in trying to poke it to see if anything will happen.

I don't know anyone who's gotten close enough to the spook light to have sex with it. I've been out there lots and only ever seen the damn thing one time. BUT, for those who think it might matter, the one time I saw it WAS in February...

There are numerious accounts of spooklights in northeast oklahoma and south west missouri. A friend of mine has even seen them. I have heard stories of "lighted orbes" comming right up to people then just flying off. I'm always skeptical of such stories, but I have heard so many accounts from many different sources, that it is hard not to believe. I plan on going to see them for myself one of these days.
