Sauer Castle.

Post by Pyrate »

Okay, so I know it's pretty obvious and all, but I was wondering who might be willing to break in to Sauer Castle with me. None of my friends have the guts and it's been a dream of mine since I first saw it like 8 years ago.

Who's up for it? Is there any really huge reason I shouldn't? I know they have dogs and stuff... but yeah. I want to go.

Break in? Is there someone living there?

No one lives there, but there are people who keep the grounds and live next door. They keep it locked, but it's in bad enough shape that you can get in anyway.

Ok, mabey I have the wrong atatude about this, but since it has grounds keepers, why not ask for a tour? Go over with some brownies or something, be really nice, and ask. Worst they can do is say no and mabey keep a better watch for a couple days. Or they might just show you around, tell you the history, and hold off the dogs. BTW - where is this, I haven't heard of it.

Damn you. I get all worked up with notions of adventure and you have to come in and crush all that with a voice of reason.

But yeah. I like your idea.

LOL! BTW - You might not want to mention the ghost stories if you talk to them. Call youself a history buff and your more likely to get in. :P

Oh, whoops, guess no one had mentioned the ghosts yet. To quote a post on ghosttowns.com :

"apperently, this man killed his whole family, wife and 2 kids, buried him in the backyard then commited suicide by jumping off the roof. I'm not sure if he, or his son, haunts there yet, but lights flicker and it's totally freaky to look at. i'm trying to get a tour inside and find the history on it, there very select things about and very grumpy people to deal with.."

Yeah. There are a ton of stories. Mostly it's just a cool building I want to see. And brag about having seen.

I would DEFINITLEY be interested in this! I have driven by it many a time and have snuck out and gotten pictures with my camera (it has a really good zoom on it) Its funny because there is a doghouse that the guard dog lives in and it is a little replica of the castle. Has anyone tried to get contact information yet?
