Wal-Mart parking lot on Kansas - Saturday, March 15 at 10 am. Northeast corner of the parking lot. I would've just made a thread about it in the meet-ups forum, but I forgot it existed.
Hmm, I wouldn't mind going if I can get a ride. How long do you think it will take? All day event I take it.
I would imagine it'll be all day and I'm sure people will car pool.
More online investigation than onsite exploration these days.

I will give you a ride, assuming that I can make it to the meeting place on time. I will PM you my number, just give me a call if you get this in time. I am leaving my house at 9 or so, just give me a call about then.

I actually got there at 10:30, waited around till 11:00, and then when over and explored Low Water Bridge Cave.

Awesome cave!! Very beautiful, lots of floor to ceiling formations. :D

It had less water coming out of it then the last time I was there, and only about mid-shin level max depth inside.

Went all the way in and back out, took about 3.5-4 hrs.

I'll post the pics later.

Ok, so for those that don't know this cave is shaped basicly like a lightning bolt. It goes north about 750 ft, then east for 250 ft, then north again for about 300 ft. Most of the really beautiful formations are in the first 500 ft, but if you can crawl through all the holes to get to the east passage there's lots of salamanders, huge crayfish, and a bunch of bats (that were off in a side passage and I decided to leave alone). Though I must say I love the sound of bats in flight. :)

Ok, pics now... :D

I think this is my new favorite cave. :D

I really wish that I had gone ahead even with just Veruth and Me , looks like it would have been awesome. I might shoot for next week but you never know how things are going to work.

Hey, sorry I missed you guys! I wasn't sure if anyone would come out in the rain (it's typically not a good time to go caving) and I had no way of contacting anyone. I was there, but I left around 10:15 so I must have just missed you. A few people did show up from outside the forums, but we decided not to go to Ash Grove since it's prone to flooding. We ended up doing Devil's Slide and Coffin Cave instead, which were closer and are dry caves.

I'll be in Cushman next weekend for the Blowing Cave trip, but if anyone still wants to go to Skylight I'll be up for it any time after Easter. Nice pics, BTW. I'll have to check that out next time I'm in Ash Grove!

Does anyone know who the property belongs to? Just curious.

No, but as close as it is to Ash Grove it shouldn't be too hard to figure out from a tax or parcel map. The Ozarks Highlands Grotto could pobably tell you who owns it, I know they go there often.

Permission isn't really necessairy for Ash Grove. The way we found the owner we stopped to eat at the local diner and we asked the waitress about it. She told us the guys name and where he lived. We went to his house to ask permission but he wasn't home so we went in the cave anyway.

This was a couple years ago so I can't be sure now but the guys first name was Gare. He lived right outside Ash Grove on MO-F.

Is it the farm house on the hill across the river from the cave? I thought about asking there. I may just ask the Police Chief and see what his take is on it, he would probably know the owner.
