Street Sofa Challenge!

Post by BROUSER »

Contest:
Turn in the most photos of street sofas. You know, those sofas that get dumped in random places.
Rules:
Must be different sofas. No fair moving the same sofa to different locations.
Must be true street sofas. No fair taking pictures of sofas on porches. Sofas in fields are fine, though.

Point system:
Sofa- 1 point.
Upright sofa 2 points.
Upright sofa with cushions in place 3 points.

You're on!!!!!
What's the point of making a point if the point you are trying to make is pointless? Do you get my point?

I would love to participate and will give it my best shot, but it's dark by the time I get off work at 07:30 and I'm usually too lazy to go into town early and do anything before work - but I will give it a shot.

I still haven't had excess time to go sofa-hunting, but I happened across a three-pointer. I'll upload the pic later.

So far this means I'm winning... 8)

Anyone else get any yet?

Good job, a 3 pointer - excellent.

Just for clarification - do these street sofa's have to be in Springfield or can they be anywhere in the surrounding areas?

A street. A field. A creek bed. A rooftop. A dumpster. Anywhere but in or adjacent to a house, a furniture store or yard sale.

Nice one! I'd be kind of interested to see more background, though. While the sofas themselves are of interest, I think the incongruity of location is the true cause of interest.

Sorry, I was driving and not on a sofa mission. I will make sure the next sofa I find is a better quality shot--I know it looks crap, but I don't see any other ones up yet.

Are there bonus points awarded if the sofa is occupied by a hobo at the time? How about defecation points (ie. the hobo is caught in the act of dropping a duece on the sofa)

Style points only, not contest points. The points is what the points is. A reverse windmill dunk is two points, just like a simple lay up.

This is all I've got so far. Probably doesn't really count , but I had to start somewhere. I'm hopeful that today I will find some real entries.
