Woo! I just tubed through the Jordan Creek Tunnel! Twice!

So, a little after midnight when it was pouring rain tonight, I aired up an inner tube and ran down to the tunnel.

It was FUCKING AWESOME. It was scary as hell, too, and I didn't even have close to as intense a ride as Keetz did, because it wasn't raining that hard for as long.

It was so insane. It was like better than any amusement park ride. There were rapids, and water pouring in from the side tunnels ahead sounded like Hell opening up or something.

And funny thing... When I was floating though Hell's Church, there was a big damn raccoon clinging to the wall for dear life. I got an awesome picture of him.

And yeah, I was able to take pictures the whole time! I smuggled a disposable Kodak camera in there in a plastic bag and I was able to take it out and shoot pictures the whole way. I'll have to get them developed before I can post them, though.

After I got out and walked back to my vehicle, too, the water was still pretty high so I did it all over again.

I was all by myself this time because it was late, but some of you guys SO have to do this again with me. It was awesome.

Oh hell yeah. You would definitely be safer in a raft, but it was SO much fun doing it in a tube.

I want to do it a bunch of times, because I still didn't have nearly as wild a ride as you did. I want a near-death experience type ride.

I'm jealous! I bet it will rain a lot while I'm in St. Louis this weekend and I'll miss everyone getting together.

I got an inflatable boat recently... I was planning on using it for a more traditional-style float down a river sometime, but I'm up for taking it through the JC tunnel.

They're talking like it might go north of us tonight. It's supposed to pour for sure tomorrow night, though, if it does.
