Here's some abandoned caskets with dead bodies inside. The one on the left was opened.

That was from a road trip last year. heard about it while in a nearby city and went to check it out.

Someone else before us opened one of the caskets. Someone after us stole the skull. I knew this place was going to blow up on the internets and cause a commotion so I waited for someone else to blow it up before i put it on my blog. Then when they had to take their pictures down and the bodies were removed, I was free to post it without worry.

So if you want to see more, here's the post on my blog. If you don't want to see the body then don't click. It's the last pic.

When I think about it, I can still vividly remember the smell...

It was a really weird place. There were no headstones, all the bodies were buried under the "memorial mound". And visitors who wanted to come pay respects could log into the computer and go to a facebook like profile page of the dead. Apparently this idea never really caught on. The proprietor died and nothing was done with the property until the location blew up on the internet.

As far as the bodies left behind, I guess they didn't have families. They were left in wooden caskets, the kind I assume you'd get if you had no money for a nicer one. And in the case of posting a photo of one of the bodies, I don't really have a problem with it myself. If I died and was left behind, I would hope someone would take a pic of my rotten self and steal my skull for ritual or profit. The alternative is slowly rotting underground and what fun is that?

You could be cremated and have your ashes sprinkled about your favorite abandoned properties.

It would be cooler to be the spooky skull that terrorizes children after it was stolen from its casket. I want to spend my afterlife being summoned by drunken teenagers at seances so that I can tell them spooky stories of the other side.
