Nah, never was that kind of nerd. And although I am a computer nerd, I don't play computer games.
I'm more of a history nerd and I just got an authentic WWII German helmet. As you can see, it fits nicely on ol' Pancho's skull. The helmet was a barn find, apparently the owner was a general during WWII or something. So there could be an interesting story behind it. But don't ask where the skull came from..

And don't ever let anyone tell you "mac's just work". I've run into all kinds of stupid issues. When setting up bootcamp for the windows partition, it kept giving me an error saying that the drive needed to be journaled. Then, it told me it can't install on a drive with more than one partition. But then mysteriously it stopped even giving me the choice of which partition to choose and next thing I know, the computer reboots and starts installing windows.
Then, it needed a 1.5GB software update. The update took 2 hours to download only to tell me that it was corrupt or tampered with. I had to retry SIX TIMES before it downloaded properly and it sat there downloading for TWO HOURS each time. Then, mysteriously, the last time it finally worked.
They should say "Mac's just don't work sometimes. Then after you start getting annoyed, they mysteriously start working." |
