Well, I think I'll spend my $600,000 on something closer to Missouri, but it sure would be awesome to go check it out. It looks totally cool. _________________ My Flickr Page |

I'd rather spend $600,000 on that house then some stupid condo at Branson Landing... Plus the only buildings in this area that can even remotly compare to that house are Pythian Castle and Elfindale. Neither of which have the nice spacious yards to go with them anymore and would cost more then $600,000 to buy all original surrounding lands for either property... I'd say you'd spend several million trying to buy back all original Elfindale property including the house and probably 1.5 to 2 million dollars buying all the Army Reserve, and city run organization's land surrounding Pythian Castle to get it's original 53 acers back.
No, compared to these local structures and the costs to regain land, I'd say that house in New York is a steal... Even after restoration costs. _________________ "Oh my God! Wal-mart's going to march on Poland!" ~ Lewis Black

yeah it's cheap but it's in really bad condition. All windows are busted and there is almost no roof left. you could easily sink a million for restoration.
But there is the wreck of a historic naval vessel that still remains that's close. |

| Too bad they want so much for it as much wk needs to be done on it. I imagine it'll be bought out by some money hungry corporate schmuck that turns it into a golf course/country club type thing. It's a really neat design, I like the outside design of it. I could really enjoy a place like this. I wonder how much a piece of land by itself wud cost there. Probably a lot. |
