Here are some pictures from the Beaver area. Once you get into Beaver, the old path runs pretty close to hwy 187 majority of the time until CR 232.

There was a trestle in Alpena. I'm not sure if it's still there. I'm gonna check it out soon.

Hmm, that sounds like too much fun. I just went up to that big house at the top of the hill (Rogues Manor) and asked them if I could go back there. When I got there I tried to convince myself into walking on the bridge. I pussed out though. The water is too cold to fall into just yet.

I wish they would take these old railroad byways and turn them into hiking/biking trails like they did with the Katy trail in Norther Missouri there are alot of people who would use them and it might increase tourism even more.

Yeah, I like both of those ideas. But since they aren't gonna run a train through there, they should make it a walking/biking trail. That would make me wanna go out and buy a bike

there's been a few people trying to buy up the land to do it. But they've been trying for like..20 years and nobody's been successful at acquiring all of it yet.

I heard part of the problem with buying up the land is there's a section that's owned by some old lady who wouldn't let go of it now matter if they paied her millions of dollars for it. Anyway that's what I heard.
