A few Ittner schools and a Carondelet Business

Post by Chubz »

A school I've been eyeing for months just opened up so the suspense was eating at me to get in. In total there's 3 different schools and a historic row of businesses pictured. I don't shoot photos as a hobby and only use my phone, sorry in advance for some of the quality. Tons of stuff I also did not get a picture of, gotta go back soon ;)

Thanks to UO friends bigspike and kokonutfreaks for tagging along.

Great pics. Too bad the hoodlums ruin stuff with their graffiti.

Thanks!

I don't mind the well-done pieces generally (as long as they don't ruin an already good view). That said there is a lot of bad graffiti since these places are pretty well-trodden at this point.

Fair warning, entry isn't the easiest here. Takes some creativity - unless I'm missing some obvious point of entry

We had actually tried previously with no luck, they had just boarded up the obvious one at door 14.

There's a very small (but sorta-obvious) entry now. It might be a little more hidden because we tried to obscure it a bit on our way out...it was wide open when we learned of it.

The abandoned Ittner school south of the Ikea is getting rehabbed:

Sub and I tried to get into it years ago, but it was securely locked and alarmed. Anyone else ever get in or get pics of the inside?
More online investigation than onsite exploration these days.

“That’s not the point. The point is, who will stop me?”

Of all the places I've found to be alarmed that one was probably the most surprising and I think about that every time I drive past. Never did get in there.

i have not been at that location. eyeing it as I drove the highway i always assumed it was trashed and it was always a bit too visible for me to go poke at, so i agree it is surprising that it was alarmed.
