Peoria OK mines
Been reading up on this town in Ottowa County just off I-44. Looking at this terraserver image (LINK!) there appear to be a ton of mines around the town... As far as I know, only the Tripoli (silica) mines are active, with the rest being lead and zinc mines abandonned in the 1970s...
