Sinkhole.

The street at 17th and Cass collapsed today. Looks lime a large hole.. This is the area of the Lafayette cave. Anyone been there to look down there?

Aren't there suddenly several sunken spots surrounding Lafayette now? The big one/first one seems (to me) to be draining into what remains of the sewer...

Yeah, that’s totally in the Lafayette cave zone. 17th & Cass sits right over where the old brewery tunnels and storm sewers tangle. Wouldn’t be surprised if a soft spot finally gave in—lots of water movement underground lately.

Might be worth checking with a light from the edge, but careful—edges can slough fast if it's old fill collapsing. :)

They showed it on the news. There's wood ND bricks down there. Msd says there is a brick lined tunnel in there

It just showed on the news there is a new hole at Jefferson above uhrigs cave.
