I agree, though, not for a casino ~needs to be cared for as a "Nature and Wildlife" refuge ~all the way around these Ozark Lakes from one to the other and all the streams in between should be cleaned up and cared for. What's the Army Corp of Engineers for anyway? oh well, enough of that. But it is really individuals who are responsible for all the pollution. If every single soul who enjoyed the outdoors (in their own way) would clean up (their own way) before they left the shores of 'where ever" in the Ozarks, that would take care of a lot of the problem. It's pretty sick to go down to the lake and find a poo-bomb diaper all tied tight and about to explode in the sun. There is just no excuse for this kind of behavior. Hey, if the stupid park doesn't provide a trash can ~get used to it and bring your own... am i right? it's disgusting! And to the guy who runs the feed and seed store in Hollister MO ~Diamacious Earth IS sold in most half way intelligent feed and seed stores lol.

If you really want to get a "feel" for what's happenin' in MW now and have facebook ~go to "Merriam Woods Public." There was talk of getting a petition to downgrade this from a 4th class city (which, remember it was just a 'village' before 1 year ago) to just being part of the county because the county does have funding and would do our roads right and MW citizens know it. So far, I've seen no one take up this effort, though, to start the petition. Me, i tried to be involved with City Hall Meetings in MW 8 years ago when i moved here but quit because it is so biased. So, it won't be me starting it but i would certainly sign it. Yesterday they did dump a bunch of shale (of course they chose private unkept property right across the street from me as their little dumping ground now (right by the most important dry creek through this area. So, if it rains a hard long rain; wonder how much of that shale goes into the dry creek to plug it up more before they "have time" to actually spread this mountain of shale onto the road. Some rain would be nice though! ok startin' ramble, sorry lol. Maybe i'll have a big pond across the street by this time next year! delightful ~~~NOT! rant over! i feel better now thank you! ~Shakanki
