Well, ain't that something. I'd have to do some research to determine if what they're talking about is even remotely reasonable, but Madison County has some interesting ore deposits. The Madison Mine (Anschutz property) is a crazy one, and it has enough ore left to reopen eventually, especially with what cobalt is doing.

Yeah, the plan was to build the pelletizing plant in Crystal City for easy river access. It was a ridiculous pipe dream (ha!) if you ask me.

All the companies associated with that project seem to have gone under, except Alberici, which is a BIG player in underground construction and wasn't banking on a single project. One of these days I need to start annoying people on the phone and figure out who owns that place.
