CA is a big state. Where are you thinking?

Off the top of my head in SoCal:
George AFB,
Zzyzx,
Canned Heat house in Topanga Canyon,
Topanga Microwave Tower,
etc etc..

More SoCal I just remembered:

Burro Schmidt Tunnel & house,
Old Ridge Rt & hotel ruins,
a foundation on Malibu Cyn Rd next to the Presbyterian Church,
on Angeles Crest between the two tunnels is a drainage tunnel (not super exciting, but might as well),
on Pimua Rd 3 turns after Schueren (first right curve Westbound) is a small trail to a good view,
"Jim Morrisons Cave" outside Malibu,
etc..

Just saw a facebook post about some abandoned trains up in the high desert.

While googling it now, I see some abandoned trains way up by Eureka.
