As many of you know, there is a creek tunnel that runs beneath nearly all of the buildings on the east side of Main Street in Downtown Eureka. And if you've crawled it, you also know how certain parts of it are in poor shape. This was even before the damage caused by the recent flooding downtown.
The city and county are currently digging up the section of tunnel that runs between the Auditorium and Courthouse and are replacing it with culverts. They are working on it right now, so if you're in the area stop by and take a look from the street. It might be the only chance you'll get to see this part of the "Underground" exposed to open air...

I'm going to have to make a special trip down as I only live right at 100 miles away And I know the town very well.
