Abandoned church and school
This is still in relatively good shape so I am keeping it's location a secret. That's why there isn't a good exterior shot. If you know what or where this is, please don't say anything.
RE: Abandoned church and school
sucks about the stairs..
When we got up to the main gymnasium in the school, there were firework remnants all over the wood floor. Because shooting fireworks in an old building with wood everything is a great idea...

Damn that does suck! We didn't get past the second floor because of it. I noticed some fireworks in the church itself too. It caught fire pretty recently in the kitchen. Stupid idiots.
Re: Abandoned church and school
Did I go into that one with you Sub? The school looks familiar, but not the sanctuary.

More online investigation than onsite exploration these days.

The sanctuary was active when we went but yeah we were in the school.

Re: Abandoned church and school
oh my god that place is beautiful. I would totally love to see it.
Any more pictures? I understand not wanting to give up location, especially since I'm new to this site but if you have any more pics to share that would be amazing

RE: Abandoned church and school
These are just of the church. We tried the school directly after but the first basement room we entered, we triggered an alarm of some sort. It was small and started emitting a small digital noise and it blatantly said alarm on it but we didn't want to mess around so we quickly left the area.

RE: Abandoned church and school
Just went to the church last weekend. Took some pics but that fucking graffiti sucks so bad I don't think I'll even bother posting it on my blog. If I do post it I'll probably photoshop it out because I just can't stand that shit. It's distracting as the focal point and it doesn't fit the setting. And it looks fucking stupid IMO.
Also, that pulpit wasn't there when we went on Saturday. When did you go?

We went about two weeks ago, the 24th of April I believe. Interesting that it disappeared in such a short time frame.

Doesn't surprise me.
When I explored the school, before the stairs were removed, this church was still in operation. And that was as recently as November 2011.

The organ was unfortunately scrapped as well. Raw materials, I guess. All the metal pipes were taken out; every single one. Sucks because it was such a rich aesthetic to the environment; the place seemed a little empty without it.

Re: Abandoned church and school
From what I was told when I was there last is that the pastor got ill close to the end of 2014 and the congregation moved to a church down the road. The pastor offered to give it to another church but after seeing it they changed their minds.
