Just east of the Executive Center Pkwy overpass is a large hotel that is in the early stages of demolition.

Go check it out before it's gone!

I went to a wedding reception there in 2007, but for some reason my memory of the place is a bit fuzzy..

You must mean the former Holiday Inn Select? Its going down? I have a set from there taken last summer, cannot remember the source.

I've been in there twice. Sad that it's being demo'd. I was hoping I would be able to go again.

Looks like they are doing some salvaging of at least windows. Drove by last night on the way home and a lot of the windows were missing.
They also tore down the storefront next door-the mattress store that "lost its lease" about five years ago and just recently moved.

They're building a new hotel. I know Mr. Jungermann and I believe he said Mariott bought the land.

When I was younger I used to eat at the Long John Silvers next door and look at it and always wonder what was inside--before I was into exploring. I always wanted to go in here but not its too late. They are now building a new Mariott in its place. It's about 75% finished I'd say.
