Any one know about a cave system in the highlands they call "the cathedral"?

I have never heard of it, but from the looks of the geology as I drove through that area, there should be some great caves in there.

It's not Bella Vista but I know Marvel Cave has a Cathedral room. Or maybe it's a name for the big room in Wonderland.

I'm interested in any caves in Bella Vista though so let me know if you find anything out.

Zeno... I've been residing in the BV area for the last couple of years, there is definitely a lot of history and great potential in the area. Unfortunately I don't get as many opportunities to get out and explore, at least not as many as I'd like.

I know of a few small caves in the area that are relatively easy to get into, but aren't too extensive any longer. There a few that I'd love to find a way to get into, but the main entrances are either sealed or barred. Always looking for new places while out hiking.

Let me know if you ever want to do some exploring in the area...

I took my 2 oldest, both under the age of 8, out to the park one morning a couple of months ago... it isn't anything too impressive, but I was definitely proud that we all had the same instinct... so we checked it out.

Because I had the kids with me, we only went to the end of the main tunnel... which was only a couple of hundred feet. However beside the skull, there was a secondary chamber that I really wanted to check out. I'm planning to get out this week to check it out. I'll let you know how that pans out...

Nice pictures! The embedded skull is especially cool.
Preservation over plunder.
