SubLunar's Blog
RE: SubLunar's Blog
It is gated and there is activity there, but it's possible to work around it.
RE: SubLunar's Blog
Ah ok. Thanks. I may attempt a visit then.
RE: SubLunar's Blog
I now proudly present
The Asylum
Damn it feels good to post this! I've always wanted to visit a real asylum. It's the one location I've never been able to scratch off my to-do list, until now. It seems like the mid-west just doesn't have these types of locations. ..Unless you ask random teenagers. Then every abandoned building from bowling products warehouses to old schools were asylums. Having grown tired of chasing fabricated urban legends, I set out to find a real one.
This place was a pain in the ass! I'm just as glad to finally be done with it. It's on an active campus. They have security that regularly patrols the area. And it's totally exposed. It took several repeat trips and I lost sleep over it. But in the end, my comrades and I were successful and I've got the pics to show for it. Thanks to my comrades for the assistance. DONE

Sweet!! Totally jealous!
Re: SubLunar
Some really good photography happening in that set... bravo! Cool how you were able to capture the images on the slides, too.

Thank you sir. It was a challenge and I'm happy with the results.
RE: SubLunar's Blog
Just how impossible was this? Have had thoughts before, driven by, but always saw rent a cops about.
Re: RE: SubLunar's Blog
If I can speak for my comrades, it was definitely one of the more difficult explores I/we've done. Random cars/people to watch out for, random security patrols, parking was an issue, approaching the buildings leaves you totally exposed. All around pain in the ass. I'm just glad to be done with it.mrjoelabs wrote:Just how impossible was this? Have had thoughts before, driven by, but always saw rent a cops about.

More online investigation than onsite exploration these days.

RE: SubLunar's Blog
Well I am glad you guys pulled it off then! Amazing how they built the newer buildings and just leave those. Great work.
