Yep, with my newly aquired gas mask (formerly property of the government), some night-vision, and a range finder I should be able to traverse any tunnel in the city.

Idea....put these items in use....after we talk to the janitors......sounds like awesome tunnels under the school...

RE: Night Vision
you won't get really good night vision goggles for less than 200.
also there are two different types. One uses infra red and the other magnifies whatever light is available.
Go for the former. Much more reliable. Also if you go night vision, everybody who's exploring with you has to have night vision or else the flashlights would screw everything up. .....at least if you have the latter type.
But yah...shell out the money and get some good ones. Those 10 dollar ebay ones are totally useless.

I think something clever is supposed to go right here.

The generation one (or the night enhancement monocle) is not a bad way to go, but it's heavy as hell and you have to hold it in order to use it. The new models can go over your head and go over your eyes and are much lighter. But that comes at a price, as always. I agree that you should save up and get a good pair that will serve you well for many years.
I will not make any deals with you. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own. I resign.

What did you not like about your petzl light? I am thinking of getting a good one so i don't have to pack my wheat lamp on trips. I want something with led's and halogen and red.RaccoonCC wrote:i got a cheap 11 dollar energizer headlamp from walmart....it has 2 while LEDs and one red. ITs really good for the price.
RE: Night Vision
Might be able to find Night Vision at Surplus City?
RE: Night Vision
Ah, my petzl one was just old and only had one led. It also had a halogen light, but it was very dim. It just wasn't bright at all. The headlamp that i would LOVE to have is a petzl myo. You could blind someone with that thing. it's awesome.
