yeah, i had previously heard the rumors of the trip itself being fake. i never read any disproving proof though. good to know.
the pictures, on the other hand, are incredible, nonetheless. i can't imagine what it must be like around there. |

| Man, I don't care at all that the trip was fake. I can't believe that you can tour Chernobyl. That is about one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Man...the pictures were pretty intense, that's the coolest thing I think I've ever seen, haha. |

| thats pretty much the concensus. you cant fake the fact that it did actually happen. whether or not someone rode a motorcycle thru there doesn't matter. the pictures are not fake, and the story they tell is incredible. |

The pictures are awesome,but to think how bad it would have been to actually have lived and worked there.....
I know the reractor is still there and leaking radation,so are they truing to seal it up? I guess there isnt really much they can do it the area is that hot
like the artical says it will be hot long after all of us are gone, did anyone read about the Trees that actually glowed from the radation ,and to put this in a "close to home "way of thinking I only live about 50 miles from the Calaway Power Plant, lets just hope our standards for saftey are a little better than theres were

| Regardless of safety standards, it's always a looming possibility of a core explosion or meltdown. The US has already had the Three Mile Island incident. And it wasn't really much a safety standard for Chernobyl as the incident occurred during an exercise to test the plant for safety measures. |

You are correct I did a little rerading on what and how it happened,You Know It had to be bad to be there and see what was happing and then to know what was about to happen
I guess that is the chances we take to live in the world today and have everything we do--still it doesnt make me sleep any better at night
