| I'm new here and didn't know where to post this but I hope this is okay. I'm about 20 minutes from St. Louis on the Il side of the river. I was wondering what areas the community knows of on the IL side of things. |

I'm new too and also from southern Illinois, albeit right next to Carbondale. Yeah, E. St. Louis is the jackpot, but the flipside is obviously the comically astronomical crime rates which make for a sometimes terrifying environment.
In similar regard, there's Sauget, Granite Shitty, Madison, etc.
