I saw a sofa leaned up against a pole right at the light on Glenstone in front of Red Robin and Outback. It was pretty crazy looking. Not a normal dump spot there and someone took some time to prop it up like that. Reminded me of the insurance commercials where Jerry has his car up a pole again.. only it was a sofa.

I saw a sofa in the woods at, of all places, the Albino Farm. Looked very creepy. When I returned a short time later, it was gone. Very odd, considering the driveway to that place has been blocked off for some time. I can't see how you could get a sofa out there unless you carried it a long way on foot. |

Yes! Street Sofa Challenge 2012 Is Starting Today!!!
This shit is starting...now! It actually was supposed to start Tuesday, but I've been busy. I know, I know, how dare I be busy when a competition is to start, right?
So the duration is for the entire month of May.
For those of you not familiar with the competition here are the rules and such:
Anyone can join in. Post pics in this thread of any outdoor/abandoned/porch/dumpster couch/sofa/futon for points.
I'm going to go old school this time around, so that means I'm not weighting points on sofa location. Only by type and cushion count/placement.
Points are:
1/2 pt for a futon without cushion
1 pt for a futon with cushion
1 pt for a sofa with the cushions missing
1.5 pts for a sofa with the cushions nearby (in the pic) but not on the couch
2 pts for a sofa with one or all of the cushions on the sofa, but not placed correctly
3 pts for a sofa with all cushions perfectly placed
Bonus Points:
1 pt for any number of animals relaxing on the sofa (that's 1 pt if they're on it, not per animal)
1 pt to plank the sofa
I may do special challenges like I did during the last competition for more bonus points so check back regularly.

Like last year the winner will receive a $20 gift card for any one of the many places that Wlagreens and Walmart sell gift cards for, your choice. Technically last year it was supposed to be a $10 gift card but people don't sell $10 gift cards so it became a $20...or was it $25. Well $20 or $25.
But more importantly you will take the title of "Street Sofa World Champion" from Mandi... assuming she doesn't win again. For the right to throw your street sofa dominance in everyone's faces.
