im a diver also. Ideally yes dry suits should be used but it takes a special class to be able to use them so often divers will use very think wet suits. Once you get the water inside your body heat warms the water. But sometimes the water is just too cold. That is why I am a warm water diver ONLY haha. _________________ Dennis Minner

Yeah they gave us wetsuits when I went white water rafting on a glacier fed river in the Canadian Rockies... the "body heat warms the water in the suit" plan didn't really work well in that instance. _________________ Now I'll be bold, As well as strong

Even 70 degree water sucks the warmth out of you after awhile. _________________

I dive too and and with wet suits it deepends on how thick of a suit you have if you have a 3 mill suit its not near as warming as a 9 mill suit. And they work for sure, when I did my dives I was entering 50 degree water, and it felt fine going in. Then when I went down deeper like down to 30 feet and untill I went to the bottom it got colder, but I didn't have gloves or a hood on and my hands and head felt like dry ice, but wet suit worked
Yeh and dry suit you have to take a class to use them, but then still your hands and head are still out in the open, but you can wear your natural clothes on under it so its pretty cool.
I've been scuba diving for about 2 years.
You guys are sayin the wet suits didn't work, well if you jump in and jump right out they ain't gonna work, you have to be in the water long enough for your body to heat up all the water that went in the wet suit, so if you stay in there for like 30 minutes you would feel it, and also maybe you didn't have a thick enough suit on |

Yeah I must have skipped over this topic before. Now that I know about it I can go explore it and drown or something all thanks to you.
I'm almost positive I know where the other entrance is though. I'm not actually familiar with the area but it still seems pretty intuitive where the other entrance should be. |
