Anyone want to buy a school?
In other threads we talked about old schools, but I kind of think this deserves its own. Its right inside Flemington, MO about 17 miles north of Bolivar. I wonder what the winning bid will be...

Are these schools in use currently or no?
More online investigation than onsite exploration these days.

The school in Flemington sure isn't. I think the last class it saw was in the 40's. I would like to buy it and make a restaurant/bar, but I do not think I would get any business out that far.

Well... I am actually going to have my realtor contact them sometime this week so I can get a viewing. Hopefully they will allow it soon.
RE: Anyone want to buy a school?
Fairbanks has been closed for years. And on the market for quite some time too. They consolidated with a neighboring grade school, I would refer you to my above comments as to which one was the victor in that absorbtion. There was a lot of bad blood between the two schools, we used to have end of year kickball games back in the day between the sixth grade class in each school. It was a huge event, with other grades getting to go along to watch. We'd all march down to Grant Beach Park, get our asses handed to us in kickball by those Fairbanks freaks, and then go on to successful lives and careers while they presumably stayed home, cooked meth, and taught their kids how to play kickball. Yeah. Lots of bad blood.

The school did sell, but I am unaware of who bought it. I did see someone working on it the other day.

No, this school is asking almost $300,000 and i can assure it looks nothing like it did when it was 1st listed with the realtors. Yes, it is still listed for sale though.whitesnicker wrote:did fairbanks sell yet?
There is a way into the place if your interested.
