| This cave I have been to twice. it is on McIllroy State Game Management land i think. It was really awesome it seemed like it just kept going and going opening up into bigger rooms as we wandered thru. Got lost for hours... Does anyone know anything about this cave. What it is called or any history behind it. I remember seeing Ozark natural science land signs around there. It was in Forum in between huntsville and eureka springs. |

| My first guess would be Whippoorwill Cave. I'm pretty sure there's another thread on it, that might have some decent information. I'm too lazy/stupid to find it at the moment. I've been with m0ridin a couple of times, it's a fun cave. When was the last time you went? I'm under the impression it's closed now, but haven't bothered getting actual confirmation. |

I'm going to have to agree with Riggz here, that's pretty much where Whippoorwill is. It has two entrances, a wet one (that I've never been through) and a dug out one. I went back 7 years ago now. I've got the cave map someplace. And I have some pics of it I could post. _________________ Now I'll be bold, As well as strong

Whippoorwill pics 2004:
The keen observers out there will note my caving buddy only has one arm. He lost the other in a motorcycle accident many years ago. _________________ Now I'll be bold, As well as strong

Riggz and I used the wet entrance as an exit once. It was a huge adrenaline rush, as you are crab-walking with water up to your neck and have to make a ~120 degree turn around a blind corner to get to the exit, which at the time was a small opening about 3.5' in diameter. Fun cave indeed! _________________ Knock Knock |
