Request from Dogpatch fans....
We are getting ready to restore the statue of General Cornpone.
The only problem we have is that we do not have anything to replicate the sword from so we are looking for pictures, nice sized pictures, that show the hand holding the sword clearly.
Can anyone help with that?

It's no problem, at least you made an effort
The kissing rocks are there and still in one piece. They have suffered from a few years of erosion, but not in pieces

Wouldn't actual cartoon images work as well? Not that I have one.

I'll check when I get home, but I think the only picture I took of the statue was after he got his hand cut off.

Thanks Jules,
I saw those and I contacted Mr. Cary about them to see if he had some larger images. Those show the sword but I need them to be a little larger

It's good to see that you're going to restore Gen Cornpone. I seen it behind a place in Branson, and was wondering what was going to happen to it. What are you going to with it after it's restored?

I think a good place to start with it is just hoping that someone doesn't try to rip it back off.
RE: Request from Dogpatch fans....
So thats what happened to the statue. I came across a couple of websites with people who were a bit peeved that the statue came up missing. Just good to know that it's in good hands.
RE: Request from Dogpatch fans....

Honestly, at this point there are no concrete plans for it other than to have it repaired.
I'm particularly interested in finding where the train was taken too. (Yes, someone stole the train)
Anyone have any information on the train or it's carts possible whereabouts?
