So you don't think there's any unnecessary spending in government, that all your taxdollars go to good and worthy causes? You don't think there's anything unnecessary eating up our money that could be cut?
The thought of rich assholes getting hundred-thousand dollar bonuses after their company received government bailout money doesn't piss you off??? |

Do you disagree with that statement? |
If you mean we as a nation, and are referring to food in general and not a specific type, then yes, I disagree. |
Please consider the context of the statement from which that phrase was quoted, because it provides enough hints to this already. To further elucidate; This is how it should have been read: "We, as individuals, in this country, on average, are generally incapable of growing our own food." Read in context, that is the message. A broad and agreeable statement that I thought was pretty clear but since I'm still explaining that, I guess I should apologize for not making it clear enough..?
But now you seem to be going the opposite direction by disagreeing. That implies you think we are capable of producing our own food. Only now you have defined "we as a nation" and that can be taken to have a different connotation. I don't even know where this is going anymore... |

Yep you've lost me now.
I'm saying considering how much food the US exports to other countries I don't think we're having problems growing stuff. But since we have hungry folks in our country we have problems distributing it to those here that need it. _________________ Now I'll be bold, As well as strong

I honestly don't know how what I said could be so misinterpreted. Or how it could even be strongly disagreed with.
A: We pay too much in taxes.
B: The majority of people are content to sit around and watch TV and eat food with unknown ingredients. |

I don't pay enough in taxes, and I love growing my own high fructose corn syrup.

| Brouser has a good point. This is the Random Thoughts thread, not the political bullshit thread. |

Something that annoys me: When did it become acceptable to pronounce "asked" as "axed"? Is it really that hard of a word to pronounce? I think not. _________________ Now I'll be bold, As well as strong

One time, we were discussing if you spell it: axe or ax. We asked my mom; "How do you spell ax?" She replied; "A s k."

Subway needs to redesign there sandwich wrapping so that it doesn't turn into a moisture trap in the refrigerator. I hate soggy bread. _________________ Now I'll be bold, As well as strong
