Just wondering if anyone's been to the tower outside Rosati, MO.
I went by there today, but just as the gravel road turns south from the train tracks, there's a gate. I would have gone around but I was trying to make it to the Fanning rocker before dark to snap a picture and didn't have much time to explore. |

From the rocker, take ZZ west (next to 44) and turn south onto KK, parallel to the railroad tracks. Where KK turns south from the railroad tracks, there's a gravel road immediately on the west side. That gravel road follows the tracks a little further before also turning south before it ends at a gate with a department of conservation sign on it. The gate is easily bypassed, and I think it's just meant to keep motorized vehicles from going down the path.
It's even on google maps as "Roasti Towersite" near St Anthonys Cemetery. |

so we r saying this is one of them BIG TALL lookout towers????? Im thinking No you would see it from the highway or is it way wasy farther back from the train tracks

According to this link, it's a 50ft tower that's still Active. There aren't too many of them left, much less still active, so it might be cool.
From what I know of them, they were just a box on stilts, but some had generating equipment to be able to power lights and communicate via a radio. |
